Saima Razzaq is an accomplished trailblazing community activist and advocate for social change, constantly with her work focusing towards empowerment of underrepresented communities. Her career is dedicated to creating positive, sustainable and long-lasting change across a host of sectors and areas of diversity. She is the first Queer Muslim woman to lead a pride event in the UK through her role as Director of Change and Communications at Birmingham Pride. Saima is highly commended for her advocacy for education to be made more inclusive of the LGBTQIA+ community, one of her many efforts in striving towards unification through diversity. This advocacy is seen through her co-chairing Supporting the Education of Equality in Schools (SEEDS) Her focus on intersectionality and consistent, tireless action for equality, diversity and inclusion has been rewarded through various accolades and recognition.
