Neil Heslop OBENeil is a distinguished leader in business and the charitable sector, currently serving as the CEO of Charities Aid Foundation. His leadership and direction aided the expansion of their annual charitable contributions and Charities Aid Foundation International network, fostering and growing global movement for philanthropic collaboration. After losing his sight at 21 and being registered blind, his contributions to the recognition of disability rights have created an inspirational portfolio of charity work and positive action; co-founding Blind in Business, co-chairing Disability Charities Consortium and acting as advisor to the UK government on the introduction of the Disability Discrimination Act in 1995, which grew to become the Equality Act 2010, to name a few. His championing of disability rights has undoubtedly had profound impact and his admirable contributions in the telecommunications industry and to charity earned him the honour of an OBE in 2002.
