Michelle Hastie, Group VAT Manager, Group Tax at NatWest Group, is a passionate advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion with a particular focus on men’s health and wellbeing. Drawing on lived experience, she has created safe, supportive spaces that foster open dialogue and drive meaningful change across NatWest and beyond. As a core member of the Allied Men network, Michelle has championed overlooked issues in men’s health and founded monthly Men’s Health Support Circles — judgement-free sessions covering mental health, suicide prevention, domestic abuse, cancer and financial wellbeing, enriched by expert speakers and tailored resources. In 2024 she helped lead International Men’s Day campaigns that engaged thousands in conversations on allyship and evolving male identities, working with Employee-Led Networks and Fathers Network Scotland. Beyond work, Michelle has raised over £1,900 for charities and completed a 100ft bungee jump to spotlight men’s mental health. Driven by the mantra “the hardest step is the first step”, her leadership exemplifies courage, compassion and the transformative power of inclusive advocacy.
