
Hilda Kwoffie is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales specialising in civil liberties and human rights, and the founder of The BAME Woman in Law, a charity supporting women from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds to enter the legal profession. In recognition of her mentoring and advocacy she was named Mentor of the Year at the Women and Diversity in Law Awards in March 2025. Hilda has served as a UN Women UK delegate to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68 and CSW69) and contributes to Lawyers Against Poverty’s Refugee Rights Group, advancing social justice for marginalised communities. She is a contributing author to the second edition of Beyond Bias, writing the chapter ‘Power in Connection: Practical Pathways to Racial Equity and Representation in Law’. Hilda’s work offers practical pathways for building a more representative legal profession and inspires aspiring lawyers from underrepresented backgrounds to pursue leadership roles.
