Daniel Biddle

Daniel Biddle began his career in the construction industry, undertaking an apprenticeship as a bricklayer and progressing through management to become a construction manager. At age 26 he was seriously injured in the 7 July 2005 terrorist attacks in London and became the most seriously injured survivor of all four attacks; this resulted in the loss of both his legs, an eye, spleen and a catalogue of life-threatening injuries. After a year in hospital he retrained as an access consultant, acquiring NRAC Consultancy status in 2007. Since then Daniel has committed his life to advancing equity in opportunities for disabled people. He brings lived experience to his work and articulates a clear philosophy: equality is the destination and equity is the vehicle that will get us there. Through consultancy, advocacy and practical access advice, Daniel continues to remove barriers and make workplaces, public spaces and services more inclusive for disabled people.
