Tunde Olasupo is a grassroots leader and DEI trailblazer whose lived experience fuels lasting community impact. He founded and coordinates Believe Achieve CIC in Farnworth, Greater Manchester, building the organisation following the tragic loss of his son; it now supports over 1,300 young people from minority ethnic, faith-based, refugee and low-income backgrounds. Tunde’s intersectional leadership spans racial justice, faith inclusion, disability access, refugee integration and youth empowerment, delivering food, mental-health support, employment pathways, digital access and trauma-informed care. As a visible Black male leader in a region lacking representation, he models authentic community-led diversity leadership. Despite facing systemic racism and repeated funding barriers, Tunde self-funded services, mentored young people into employment and created safe spaces for families. His work has reduced antisocial behaviour, empowered refugee youth and fostered cohesion during local unrest. By training the next generation of leaders and pioneering grassroots innovation, Tunde demonstrates how resilience, equity and relentless commitment can transform lives and inspire communities.
