Choon Young Tan is a prominent champion of diversity and inclusion, sharing information and raising awareness across various strands. His passion lies in ESEA representation across a host of mediums – media, fiction and in the workplace. He also stands for LBGTQ+ rights and shares his lived experience to support this. Choon is a highly experienced social media manager, freelance journalist, content writer, copywriter and blogger having written for a number of online and printed publications. He has two blogs that have accumulated more than 150,000 views between them. Through his writing, he aims to push boundaries and be an advocate for under-represented voices and groups, particularly Chinese, East Asian and LGBTQ people. Since his diagnosis of glaucoma, Choon is passionate about raising awareness and encouraging people to get their eyes checked more regularly.
